Hi! My name is Sandy Tanner.  I am Round Top Elementary's school counselor and I'm beyond thrilled to be working with the school's students, parents, administration, teachers and the surrounding community. My main priority is helping students navigate the school year while exploring individual interests and strengths, and promoting academic and social/emotional success. I earned my Bachelor's (Psychology) and Master's (Rehabilitation Counseling) degrees from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, as well as my Education Specialist degree in School Counseling. I am a state certified school counselor (k-12) and have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for almost 25 years. I live in Lexington with my husband of 26 years, my three children (ages 24, 17 and 14), our beloved Shih Tzus (Chewie and Ruby) and one very crazy cat named Mouse. I love reading, crafting and being near, on or in the water. As you can tell from the picture, my family and I love all things Gamecock! I love working with children because of their innate curiosity and love of learning. They truly are our nation's treasure and future.
