Weirdest but most rewarding year ever!

We've made it! This year and the last half of the last year have been...interesting. So many pivots and challenges but with challenges comes growth. This is part of the growth mindset I talk about with students each year. For me this has meant being willing to accept different ways of doing things and being flexible..one of our LIFESKILLS! As I'm typing this the kindergarten crew is enjoying some of their last days as kindergarteners (see pic). These smiles and sense of JOY have made this year worth it. I'm also including below an infographic that includes some statistics on how school counseling services impacted your student(s) this year. I'm especially proud of the tremendous increase in classroom lessons that were possible this year. Lesson topics included bullying, impulse control (think before speak), Erin's Law (state law requiring guidance on personal safety), Diversity, Worry/anxiety, Adjusting to Covid restrictions/fears, pride, teamwork, sportsmanship, careers, listening skills, friendship, kindness, communication skills and test-taking strategies.

We've all been through so much this year. I want to wish you all a wonderful summer. You deserve it! Please take the time to spend some intentional moments outside in the sunshine. I'm including some links below that contain information about summer activities/opportunities for our students. Some are free! Enjoy every moment. Remember "summertime is always the best of what might be" [Charles Bowden]. See ya in the fall!

**If it's your cup of tea, be sure to check

out faith-based (VBS) opportunities

which are almost always free!!
